About The Event
Reiki (pronounced RAY KEY) is a combination of two Japanese words Rei and Ki meaning universal life energy. Reiki is an ancient laying-on of hands healing technique that uses the life force energy to heal, balancing the subtle energies within our bodies. Reiki addresses physical, emotional, mental and spiritual imbalances.
Reiki therapy is an alternative healing modality that was developed in 1922 by Mikao Usui, a Japanese Buddhist. It is relaxing and reduces stress.
Reiki is different from almost all other healing modalities. It’s actually transferred to each student from a Reiki master during what is called an attunement process. This process is said to open the crown, heart, and palm chakras and creates a unique connection between the student and the teacher.
