Let Your Intuition Work For You

ree

Most of us have a gut feeling when something’s off—but we often brush it aside in favor of logic, outside opinions, or fear of being wrong. Maybe you’ve felt that nudge before—the one telling you not to call someone back, to leave the job, to walk away from the deal—but you didn’t listen. And later? You wished you had.

It’s a common pattern. We’re taught to trust facts, not feelings. To think things through, make a pros-and-cons list, gather all the evidence. There’s value in that, but over time, ignoring your intuition chips away at something deeper: your self-trust.

You start second-guessing yourself. You hesitate even on small things. You wait for someone else to validate what you already feel inside. And in the process, you lose touch with that quiet but reliable voice that was always meant to guide you.

Here’s the truth: intuition isn’t just a spiritual gift—it’s a practical skill. And like any skill, it can be strengthened, sharpened, and trusted over time.

This doesn’t mean you have to become a medium or start pulling oracle cards. It means learning to pause before you act, check in with your body, and ask, “Does this feel aligned—or am I trying to force something that doesn’t fit?”

It means noticing red flags sooner. Choosing the right collaborators. Making decisions that don’t just “look good” but feel right.

Your intuition isn’t just there for the big life choices—it’s useful every day:

  • When you're unsure whether to commit to a project

  • When you're feeling off around someone new

  • When you're stuck in analysis paralysis and need clarity

  • When a choice feels “logical,” but something in your chest tightens

Building intuitive muscle takes practice—but it’s worth it. It makes life easier, decision-making faster, and relationships more authentic. And when you do feel stuck, it’s okay to ask for support. Sometimes an outside intuitive session can help you validate what you already know deep down.

If you’re ready to stop second-guessing yourself and start trusting the inner guidance that’s already within you, know that you don’t have to figure it out alone. At Spiritual Journey, we offer a variety of courses and trainings designed to help you reconnect with your intuitive abilities in a way that’s real, supportive, and practical. Whether you're just starting to explore your gifts or looking to develop them further, these experiences give you tools, guidance, and hands-on practice to build trust in what you sense and feel. You were born with the ability to tune in—sometimes, you just need a space that helps you remember how. Explore our upcoming workshops and see what calls to you. Your intuition is already speaking.

5 Ways to Strengthen & Trust Your Intuition

  1. Slow Down Before Making Decisions

Give yourself a moment of quiet before saying yes, no, or reacting. When you pause—even for 30 seconds—you give your inner voice a chance to speak up before your mind takes over.

  2. Start with Small Choices

Practice tuning in with low-pressure decisions: what to eat, which route to drive, who to text back. Ask yourself, “What feels most aligned right now?” and go with it. Over time, you’ll build trust in your instincts.

  3. Journal What You Sense—Then Review It Later

When you get a feeling, a hunch, or even a dream that stands out, write it down. Later, check in and see what lined up. This builds confidence in recognizing the voice of intuition vs. anxiety or guesswork.

  4. Notice How Your Body Reacts

Your body speaks louder than your mind. When you’re around the right people or aligned with a decision, your body tends to feel open, calm, and clear. If something’s off, you might feel tightness, unease, or mental static. Learn to listen to those cues.

  5. Spend Time Alone Without Distractions

Intuition gets drowned out by noise—social media, opinions, news, even well-meaning advice. Create regular quiet time (even 10 minutes a day) to unplug, breathe, and simply be. That’s often when clarity shows up.
